Job Title: Mechanical Development Engineer
Job Description:
- Overall responsibility for mechanical design of electro-optic assemblies based upon Lightwire’s revolutionary CMOS photonic technology.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical design and implementation of opto-electronic assemblies.
- Work with optical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to implement cost effective, innovative, low cost manufacturable product designs.
- Develop detailed drawings / specifications as required.
- Production equipment specification for manufacturing as needed
- Develop electro-optical mechanical fixturing as needed
- Experimental lab measurements.
- Overseas travel required periodically.
Background:
- BS, MS or PhD in mechanical / optical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Experience with Solid Works simulation package or similar product required.
- Previous experience with both prototype and volume manufacturing required.
- Lab experience with optical measurements and optical test equipment strongly desired.
