LIGHTWIRE CMOS Photonics Transceivers Introduced at OFC!
Lightwire's high-speed, low-power CMOS photonic interconnect technology delivers superior performance and lower power dissipation in high-bandwidth interconnects for the data center, metro networks and telecom networks. Lightwire 10Gb and faster optical interconnects replace costly, power hungry copper links with cool running, lightweight, superfast fiber links with very high signal integrity. Using high volume CMOS production technology reduces cost while Lightwire's patented CMOS photonics SISCAP architecture delivers an extremely low power interconnect solution, consuming 20x to 50x less power than copper interconnects while providing superior signal integrity.

Lightwire has introduced its first 10Gb LRM SFP+ optical transceiver at OFC. The Lightwire hospitality suite was abuzz with industry participants viewing the live 10Gb demo and speaking with Lightwire technical personnel about the new technology and the SFP+ products.
